When I grow up I want to be Ming-Na Wen.
She’s the voice of Mulan, as if she wasn’t amazing enough.
Real life superhero.
Did you know she was in that Jean-Claude Van Damme Street Fighter movie? Or that she was the main female protagonist in that Final Fantasy movie (did you also know Alec Baldwin was in it too)? I can definitely still remember her from her E.R. days so I forget that she’s got pretty impressive nerd cred too.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of May’s backstory.
The moment when Harry takes Draco's wand
Trust in yourself. Your perceptions are often far more accurate than you are willing to believe. - Claudia Black
#this is one of the most heartbreaking moments in the entire series #because i love Hermione so much more than i love Harry #she does basically everything right #for seven books #and Harry’s the one who gets all the glory #but he’d be dead without her #no question #like 4736578349647892 times #and the fact that she’s grown up enough to do this #because she knows what’s at stake #kills me every time
#and you have Harry who has made his own family #and Ron whose family can protect themselves if they stay together #but Hermione’s parents have no clue #they can’t fight magic #so she saves them the only way she knows how #so they forget#Harry’s always talking about how he wishes he grew up with his parents #Ron just wants to get back to his family to be with them #but Hermione #does she talk about how she did this? #yes #but you get two paragraphs #two paragraphs about what she did and why and how she’s protecting HER parents but also HARRY #not protecting herself #all that knowledge #all those spells #and this one breaks my heart the most #this moment #this heartbreaking moment showing what she would do for her family and friends #and she never complains about it #she just deals with it in her own head #let me hug you Hermione
all the ladies i love ★ sarah walker (chuck)
going to prom and soccer games and all those normal things that you wanted for me. will you just make sure she gets them?
My favourite moment in the series.
#it’s just so awesome to see a young woman surrounded by men who are earnestly interested in her opinion #esp. on *ships* #do you know how often i see women get shut down when they try to join in discussions on cars #but they’re all like #”nah this girl knows her shit” #”let’s talk to her about it” #i mean they SHUT DOWN A GUY ASKING HER TO DANCE BECAUSE SHE’S *TALKING* (via dropkicks)
Is no one going to mention that she is doing all this mechanic speak wearing a frilly pink ball gown? I mean could you slap gender roles any harder in the face?
This is one of the most inspirational stories ever.
Oh. My. God.
Is this a true story??
